Florida Polytechnic University was founded in 2012. It is a public and co-educational university. The university has its headquarters in Lakeland in Florida State and has a 170.54-acre campus. It is a member of State university system of Florida. It is the one and only polytechnic university in Florida. It is the 12th university in the state. It was established to provide a good grounding in STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to posterity. The government closed the South Florida Polytechnic Campus in 2012 and replaced it with Florida Polytechnic University. The University of South Florida established under the purview of the university, there are College of Engineering and College of Innovation and Technology. The university is offering six bachelors, two masters and 19 concentration programmes. The University is conducting research on cyber security, logistics, semiconductors, machine intelligence, public health, environment, and other realms. The university is conducting research in partnership with various industrial and technological organisations.
